The HOUSE is a 3 floor house, about 150 square metres (+ cellar), very sunny and recently restored (2008). There are 3 entrances (one on the first floor). On the ground floor there is a cellar, a sort of wooed-shed (16 squares metres). Staircases go up to the first floor wich is about 75 square metres with a large kitchen and a sitting room; in the sitting room there is a fireplace and a balcony allows you to enjoy the air outside.
The last floor, 75 square metres as well, contains two large and bright double bedrooms; from them one can reach a comfortable store-room.
In the house there are 2 bathrooms: one on the first floor and one wuth a shower on the second floor.
A Pellet boiler (pellet=wood) makes the house warm according to one's need.
An Autoclave is used for assuring water on all the floors.
ROCCALBEGNA (522m high) is an ancient Medieval Borgo (village) of about 1000 inhabitants. OUR house is situated in the center of the Borgo, quite near a precious church, built in the XIV century and near the Town Hall. In the village there are: pharmacy, post office, bank, primary and middle school, food shops, butcher's, pizzeria, restuarant, hotel.
ROCCALBEGNA stands on the boundary line marked by the Albegna river, between Monte Amiata (1738 m) -a summer and winter holiday resort- and the attractive hilly area of the High Maremma of Grosseto; the area is rich in plantantions of olive trees and grape vines, traditional breeding and cheese production. Has a peaceful and fascinating atmopsphere that makes life relaxing inside and ouside the village all year round.
