The “Dimora dei Cel” was build by my great-grandfather, known as “il Cel”, a merchant with French origins with a small shop on Castello square. When I was a child, I used to come here every weekend from Milan and as soon as I get off my dad’s car, I launch myself in the square and start running at breathtaking speed together with the other kids. The square gathered all of us, kids and pedestrians.
From the big door you enter into the yard, dominated by the blue spruces; on the left there is the Canturina ditch, at the end there is the washtub next to the barbecue.
The two apartments that compose the dwelling boast characteristic corners and niches: on the ground floor you find the library of the house, a room for dressmaking, a bedroom and a small bedroom, a kitchen and a living room with wide windows overlooking the square.
The apartment on the first floor has a panoramic view. The entrance leads on a nice hall where you can access all the rooms: the bathrooms, the kitchen, the wide bedrooms and the dining room that leads directly to the terrace.
The terrace is surrouded by a balustrade and overlooks the square, the entrance to the castle and the church of saint Rocco. A sight on the town life.
The Castle square is the centre of the commercial life and has all the facilities (pharmacy, medical care, municipal offices and cafes).
